Hello dear Readers, it’s always a privilege to post
something on my blog. Let me continue from where I stopped.
So all of a sudden, I was so excited about my ‘little
job’ that I even forgot how little it was. In fact I learnt from this situation
that every job is good as long as it is legal. There is dignity in labor.
I was doing the job with so much passion and I ended
up learning a lot. I submitted to my bosses, even when I knew that I had more
qualifications than most of them. It is amazing how humility can give you such
peace. One day I was studying the Bible, thinking about my situation and
wondering what was happening to me. Then I came across a passage in the book of
Deuteronomy 8:2-3 ‘Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to
humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you
would keep his commands. He humbled you, causing you to hunger and
then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to
teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes
from the mouth of the Lord.
I learnt from this scripture that God brings certain
challenges our way in order to test our faith in Him. He wants to see if we’ll still
be faithful to Him in little and in much. It was an eye-opener for me. I worked
with joy, pure joy. Put all my trust in God even in the middle of the storms. I
was so lost in God’s love and mercy that I did not even notice how fast time
was flying. I did this job for three months. Then one day, I was offered
another job, much better than this one in another Company. It was great joy for
me. It meant a higher salary and more opportunities for me. I remember kneeling
down with my hands spread to heaven, giving glory to God for what He had
started doing in my life. I realized from that moment that God had delivered me
from the ‘curse’ of joblessness. it wasn’t long before He did it again! Yes believe
me; I got another job again in the space of 9 months with better pay and
benefits. My dear readers, our God is alive and He loves us so much. Sometimes we
wonder if He sees the pains we endure. We wonder if He really cares. I can
testify with my head up and with all confidence that HE DOES. He knows what we
go through, He feels our pains, He understands our weaknesses and loves us with
all His heart. The only thing He requires from us is FAITH. Our faith in Him
makes Him happy.
No matter what you are going through, keep on
trusting in Jehovah. He will come through for you and at the end, you will be
like David who said ‘Unless the LORD had been
my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence’ Psalm 94-17
This brings an end to the series ‘Blessed outside of
my comfort zone’. However, I will back soon with more testimonies of God’s
goodness in my life. May the good Lord bless you and cause you to be triumphant
in every situation.
